Thomas A. Withers
Thomas A. Withers is a prominent Savannah, Georgia, attorney and partner with Gillen Withers & Lake LLC since 1998, representing clients in numerous high-profile criminal proceedings in state and federal courts, at both the trial and appellate levels, as well as in an increasing national class action practice. A graduate of the University of Georgia and Emory University School of Law, Mr. Withers was a partner with Oliver, Maner and Gray before becoming an Assistant United States Attorney in the Southern District of Georgia and then Chief of the Criminal Section, where he was lead counsel for the government in the ABC Home Health Services prosecution. For the past decade, Mr. Withers has defended clients in many widely-reported criminal proceedings, including corporate, environmental and political cases. His national class action practice includes numerous actions mortgage and credit industries.

Anthony Lake is member of Gillen Withers & Lake since 2001, and represents clients in civil and criminal matters in state and federal courts. A graduate of the University of Georgia and Wake Forest University School of Law, Mr. Lake has extensive experience in appellate practice in several Circuit Courts of Appeals and the United States Supreme Court. Mr. Lake’s interests includes environmental law, in particular environmental criminal defense.
